In line with its mission to “empower students to fulfil their educational dreams and achieve their full potential in life”, Studiez, a subsidiary of Chams Holdco, has signed a deal with Thomas Adewumi University.
Aimed at simplifying education finance, the partnership will enable students of the research- intensive university access loans for studies, with reduced interest rates.
Major highlights of the June 2023 agreement include reduced interest rate on loan facilities to encourage students to complete their studies and provide a more viable option compared to conventional loan facilities.
Additionally, flexible and customized repayment options for students. Customization and flexibility in this sense include extended repayment period and potential loan forgiveness plans.
Thirdly, scholarships and donations will help promising students achieve their educational goals while providing opportunities for charities and philanthropists to contribute meaningfully to important causes.
Fourthly, internship and employment opportunities will give students the opportunity to deploy their skills in the workplace and learn ideal work ethics while they are at it.
Finally, financial literacy and support services. In collaboration with the university, Studiez will empower students with financial literacy and support services to enhance their financial management skills and help them take charge of their future.
Representatives of both organizations were present at the signing of the MoU, principally, the signees- Vice chancellor, Professor Francisca Oladipo and MD of FinStudiez, Mr. Opeyemi Eboka.
The vice chancellor expressed her optimism and elation at the event, saying that the agreement will give students the opportunity to complete their education in the event that they encountered financial challenges.
On his part, the MD of FinStudiez, Mr Opeyemi Eboka, reiterated the company’s commitment to assisting students to achieve their full potential in school and in the society.
Thomas Adewumi University is a new, research- focused university in Kwara State. It is one of the earliest universities to collaborate with Studiez.
