Chams Hold Co at Digital Pay Expo 2023

The 23rd edition of the digital pay expo took place on the 7th and 8th of June 2023.

It brought together key stakeholders across the private and public sectors, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, NDIC and banks amongst others.

The CEO of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, NDIC, gave the opening remarks through his representative, Mr. Bashir Al- Hassan Nuhu, Director of Communications and Public Affairs.

The evolution of payment, role of artificial intelligence in banking and pillars for financial innovation were among key topics that were explored during the conference.

Furthermore, the need for collaboration between banks and fintech companies for seamless digital experience was emphasized by keynote speakers.

The two- day event involved plenary sessions with panelists such as Ali Hussein, Chief Executive Officer, Kipochi Limited, Kenya, Martin Kwame, President, Ghana Fintech and Payment Association, Lavina Ramkisoon, Advisor, African Union, South Africa and Zianah Nyiramanza Muddu, General Secretary, Africa Fintech Network/ CEO, Financial Technology Service Providers Association (FITSPA), Uganda for the first day.

The theme for Digital Pay Expo 2023 was, ‘The Future is Contactless’

The second day saw Adeyemi Atanda, Chief Marketing Officer, Squad, Emmanuel Obinne, Head of Growth & Partnerships, West Africa BPC Banking Technologies, Oluremi Tinuolu- Gabriel, Head, Digital Channels, Access Bank, Rakiya Mohammed, Director, Information Technology Central Bank of Nigeria and Oluwole Michael, CGO & Co- Founder, Touch and Pay Technologies as panelists.
