Wema Bank Pays Courtesy Visit to Chams Holdco

In an effort to explore possibilities of partnership with Chams Holdco, Wema Bank Nigeria paid a courtesy visit on Friday, 23rd June, 2023 at the company’s office in Victoria Island.

The delegation, which was led by the Executive Director, Retail, Mr. Tunde Mabawonku, included Mr. Henry Olisamah, Head of Cards, Mr. Damola Bolodeoku, Head, E- Business and Mr. Segun Adeniyi, Chief Digital Officer.

The delegation was warmly received by the Group Managing Director, Mrs Mayowa Olaniyan, the Acting Chief Operation Officer, ChamsSwitch, Mr. Yinka Aboyade, Group Head, Business Development and Sales, Thomas Amidu and Senior Business Sales Manager, Tosin Olatunji.

The delegation expressed their intention to forge a worthwhile relationship with Chams Holdco, considering its complementary fintech products and services.

Speaking on behalf of the delegates, Mr. Mabawonku and Mr. Bolodeoku discussed some of Wema Bank’s strategic activities as part of its efforts to significantly improve fintech solutions.

On her part, the Group Managing Director, expressed her appreciation to the delegates and shed light on Chams’ offerings, particularly fintech- related products and services and the critical role they play in the fintech industry.

Furthermore, she mentioned key achievements across the group and strategic partnerships the company has undertaken to accelerate its objectives.

The company had earlier in the year been awarded a Payment Service Holding Company (PSHC) license by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Mr. Aboyade of ChamsSwitch also reiterated the company’s commitment to providing exceptional solutions in digital payment and processing, while highlighting recent strides.

The management of Chams Holdco expressed their appreciation for the visit and the delegates expressed optimism for a continuous relationship with Chams Holdco.
